Progress Post 3 Landscape

So this is the final version of the painting. I still have to take a documentation photo but I really like how this turned out. The weak point is definitely the cottage because it looks somewhat like the roof and the bottom are unconnected. However I think the ground turned out pretty well, I did a lot of layers and got a good crisp color with texture. I also added texture into the sky but that is less noticeable, however I think it adds something to the piece. I wish I had worked more on the lighting in the sky and in the branches as well and maybe left more of the underpainting showing through. I definitely want to continue with landscape paintings but go in a more fauvist direction. So for the next one I'm thinking more interpretive, abstract, more color and more expressive.
