So this week I traced out the face onto the paper and then started painting the face with the gouache. I'm not going to fully paint all the faces like this one because there is not enough time, but I plan to do the others in pen and ink or something similar. The pink around this face is just supposed to be an underpainting and I am going to paint over some of it but I want to leave some showing.
I actually like how it turned out, it was a lot harder than I thought it would be but for a first attempt it is pretty good.
