Today I finished doing the sketch for my master drawing, originally done by Philip Pearlstein. I still have to lightly erase the darker lines, today I only erased around where I was putting down the ink wash. I started with the cushion that the two ladies were positioned around and began with light washes of the ink so I would be able to build up to the darker colors. It takes longer to dry then what I expected so I did mess up a few times; I had to keep trying to take as much ink off the page as I could before it seeped into the paper. I think it turned out okay but I still might add to it later. I was definitely using too much water in the beginning which is why the ink kept spreading to areas I didn't want it to so I will keep that in mind for the future.
