This week I worked on going over the entire image in light washes and building them up each day. I found I had a lot more success with this method and got a lot farther then when I was just trying to do one area at a time. The color is building up nicely and I think at the most I might only have to do around 3 more light washes to build up to the darkest shadows and then do the outlines around the bodies. For the outlines I'm planning on actually using a thinner brush for most of them instead of the pen so that they re thicker, like in the original.
